Buyeo County in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 22nd that, starting this year, a holiday allowance of 50,000 won will be provided to care service assistants for customized elderly care during holidays to improve their working conditions and boost morale.
The customized elderly care service is a program that provides appropriate care services to vulnerable seniors who have difficulty managing daily life, helping maintain their function and health while preventing diseases.
This service plays an important role in preventing the social isolation of the elderly and enhancing their quality of life in an aging society.
A total of 223 care service assistants are currently supporting 3,345 seniors.
County Governor Park Junghyun said, "I would like to thank the care service assistants who work hard on the front lines to improve the welfare of our residents," adding, "We will continue to do our best to develop policies that satisfy both care workers and service users."
