The inspection targets 307 locations within public and private transportation, tourism, and sports facilities where an increase in public restroom usage is expected during the holiday period, with security and hygiene checks conducted simultaneously.
The main inspection items include checking the proper operation of emergency safety bells and warning lights, and verifying the connection status with the police station in case of an incident. The emergency safety bell immediately connects to the police station for reporting and communication in emergency situations.
The city will also check for signs of illegal hidden camera installations, inspect the condition of diaper changing stations and privacy partitions, and carry out disinfection work to prevent infectious diseases.
A city official stated, "We will conduct thorough inspections to ensure that all citizens can use public restrooms with confidence, and will promptly take action if maintenance is needed."
