Eulji University Hanmaeum Volunteer Group Conducts 'Tteokguk Sharing Service' for Lunar New Year

Delivery of 320 Sets of Tteokguk Meal Kits
to Four Welfare Institutions in Uijeongbu and Yangju

Eulji University (President Hong Seong-hee) Hanmaeum Volunteer Group (Director Han Seung-jin) announced on the 21st that they delivered 320 sets of Tteokguk meal kits to four welfare institutions in the northern Gyeonggi region in celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.

On the 17th and 21st, about 20 people including Han Seung-jin, director of the Eulji University Hanmaeum Volunteer Group, faculty and staff volunteer team, and members of the Eulji University Graduate School of Health and Welfare's Advanced Health Policy Program Alumni Association visited Yangju Volunteer Center, Yangju Infinite Care Happiness Center, Uijeongbu Senior Welfare Center, and Singok Senior Welfare Center to donate 320 meal kits consisting of ingredients such as rice cakes for Tteokguk, dumplings, ox bone soup, and eggs, practicing neighborly love.


The Tteokguk meal kits delivered to the four institutions are scheduled to be provided to elderly and low-income households in the Uijeongbu and Yangju areas.


Han Seung-jin, director of the Hanmaeum Volunteer Group (professor of Sports Outdoor Studies at Eulji University), said, “I hope the warm hearts of Eulji University faculty and staff are conveyed so that everyone can have a happy Lunar New Year holiday,” and added, “We will continue to engage in various sharing volunteer activities for coexistence with the local community.”
