Governor Jeong Jong-bok Expresses Gratitude
for Sharing to Support Vulnerable Groups
Busan Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) recently announced on the 21st that the Jangan Green Onion Farming Group donated 50 boxes of kimchi and daily necessities.
Kim Seong-cheol, the representative of the farming group, and members of the Jangan Green Onion Farming Group used fresh ingredients such as napa cabbage, radish, and garlic that they cultivated themselves to make kimchi, which they then donated along with various daily necessities (rice, ramen, towels) as aid for vulnerable neighbors in the community.
Representative Kim Seong-cheol said, “I hope this helps families in vulnerable situations during these economically difficult times,” and added, “We will continue our sharing activities for neighbors in need in the region.”
Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, “We appreciate the sharing to support vulnerable groups in Gijang-gun,” and added, “We will ensure that the donated items are delivered well to those in need.”
The Jangan Green Onion Farming Group is an organization formed by farmers cultivating Gijang Green Onion (Geographical Indication No. 105 registered) in Jangan-eup, and has been continuing neighborly aid since 2018.
