Children Growing Through Books, Embracing the Meaning of 'Check-in' to the World of Reading
Promoting Reading Culture, Widely Utilized in Related Programs and Events
Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Chang-su) selected ‘Chaekkeunin Ulsan’ as the grand prize winner of the Ulsan Reading Humanities Education Brand Contest and plans to widely utilize it in related programs and events such as Ulsan reading humanities education and reading culture expansion policy projects.
On the 21st, the Ulsan Office of Education held an awards ceremony for the excellent works of the Ulsan Reading Humanities Education Brand Contest in the reception room of the Office of Education.
The grand prize-winning ‘Chaekkeunin Ulsan’ received high praise for its double meaning of ‘our children growing up through books’ and ‘checking in to the world of reading.’
This contest was an event to solicit brand names within five characters that embody the meaning of ‘spreading a culture where students and families enjoy reading in daily life,’ held from December 13 to 26.
A total of 1,153 citizens, including students, parents, and school staff, participated and showed enthusiastic response.
At the awards ceremony, a total of seven winners, including one grand prize and three excellence awards, received certificates from the superintendent and cultural gift certificates. One hundred participants who contributed to spreading the value of reading were selected for encouragement awards and received mobile cultural gift certificates worth 10,000 KRW.
Superintendent Cheon Chang-su said, “I thank many Ulsan citizens for participating in the contest,” and added, “I hope the selected brand name will naturally lead schools, homes, and local communities to embrace a reading culture and become an opportunity for all Ulsan citizens to experience joy and growth through reading.”
