Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) announced on the 21st that it visited the Sinreuk Disabled Protection Workshop on the 20th ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday to encourage disabled workers and related personnel and deliver consolation gifts.
On that day, Mayor Lee Chung-woo toured the workshop, examined the working environment and operational status, and praised their efforts. He especially checked the quality and production process of the products made at the workshop and promised continuous support.
Mayor Lee Chung-woo said, “The Sinreuk Disabled Protection Workshop plays an important role in providing opportunities for independence and social participation to disabled people,” adding, “We will continue to actively work to improve the working environment and welfare of disabled workers.”
Woo Jin-sook, director of the Sinreuk Disabled Protection Workshop, expressed gratitude, saying, “Thanks to Yeoju City’s continuous interest and support, disabled workers can work in a stable environment.”
Meanwhile, Yeoju City plans to continue promoting various policies and programs to enhance welfare for disabled people.
