Palyong Bridge in Goheung Reborn as a Nighttime Tourist Attraction

Goheung County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on the 21st that it will install nighttime landscape lighting on the Palyong Bridge, the land gateway connecting Goheung and Yeosu, and begin trial operations starting from the 23rd ahead of the official completion in early February.

This project is part of a tourism resource development initiative, with a total investment of 3 billion KRW to install landscape lighting along the Palyong Bridge (L=1.3km).

Nighttime landscape lighting will be installed on Palyoung Bridge, the land gateway connecting Goheung and Yeosu, and a pilot operation will begin on the 23rd. Provided by Goheung County

The county plans to present a new and colorful night view to homecoming visitors and tourists during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, following on-site briefings and lighting demonstrations.

The landscape lighting installed on Palyong Bridge automatically creates LED lighting effects that reflect the atmosphere of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. In addition, gobo lighting featuring eight Goheung-themed images?such as space and citron?is projected onto the main towers, offering a variety of visual attractions.

A county official stated, "If you look from the Palyong Bridge Smart Complex Rest Area, you can enjoy the night view of Palyong Bridge at a glance," adding, "We will continue to strive to enhance the appeal and tourism competitiveness of Goheung, invigorate the local economy, and usher in an era of 10 million tourists."
