Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyeong-deok) announced on the 21st that it visited six social welfare facilities and organizations in the area on the 20th, the traditional Korean holiday Seollal, to carry out consolation activities and share love.

Through this Seollal social welfare facility and organization consolation activity, consolation goods were delivered to 39 locations including residential facilities, usage facilities, women's welfare facilities, care facilities, and organizations for the disabled in the area. Mayor Park Hyeong-deok of Dongducheon and his wife personally visited six social welfare facilities in the area, listened to the difficulties of facility workers and users, and spent a warm time of encouragement.

In particular, the consolation goods for the facilities were fruits purchased from local traditional markets, contributing to the revitalization of traditional markets despite the difficult economic situation, creating a warm social atmosphere for everyone.

Mayor Park Hyeong-deok of Dongducheon said, “I am grateful to the facility workers who strive for the underprivileged and local welfare during these more difficult times due to the cold wave and high prices,” and added, “We will continue to promote active sharing in the local community to create a city where citizens are happy without welfare blind spots.”
