Jeonju University Rated 'Excellent' in Project Performance Evaluation by Ministry of Employment and Labor

Achieving the Highest Grade for Six Consecutive Years

Jeonju University (President Park Jinbae) announced on the 21st that its University Job Plus Center received the highest grade of “Excellent” in the 2024 project performance evaluation.


With this, the University Job Plus Center has achieved the highest grade for four consecutive years based on the project standard, and for six consecutive years including the period of the University Job Center project, firmly establishing itself as a leading example in youth employment support.

This evaluation, organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, assessed universities operating University Job Plus Centers nationwide on 12 indicators across three areas: ▲Establishment and utilization of one-stop employment support infrastructure ▲Provision of employment support services ▲Enhancement of project satisfaction and improvement of employment readiness.


Jeonju University proactively responded to the changing employment environment by providing customized career and employment support services to current students, graduates, and local youth based on regional youth employment governance.


In particular, last year, the university entered the student-customized employment service project, strengthening counseling and programs for tailored career and employment support by academic year.


Additionally, in the second half of last year, Jeonju University was selected as one of eight universities nationwide to operate a “graduate-specialized pilot project,” successfully providing differentiated employment support services for graduates.


Through this project, the university enhanced graduates’ employability and received high evaluations for practical career planning and employment linkage.


Professor Shin Sukkyung, head of the University Job Plus Center, said, “We are delighted to receive the highest grade of ‘Excellent’ again in 2024,” adding, “We will continue to provide the best career and employment support services needed by local youth, current students, and graduates, and strive to create a better employment environment.”


Meanwhile, since being selected in 2015 as the first university in the Honam region for the University Creative Job Center project (now the University Job Plus Center), Jeonju University has operated successfully as a core delivery system linked to major government youth employment projects.


The university has strengthened early career guidance considering aptitude and major from the lower grades, and as a core delivery system linked to major government youth employment projects, continues to provide career and employment services to Jeonju University students and local youth, making every effort to nurture the talent needed by society.
