Emergency Response Week Designated for the Lunar New Year Holiday
from January 22 to February 5
Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, will designate an emergency response week for the Lunar New Year holiday from the 22nd of this month to the 5th of next month and operate an emergency medical system.
Ulju-gun will activate an emergency medical treatment plan in cooperation with public health centers, emergency medical institutions, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies to alleviate the concerns of Ulju residents about emergency medical care during the Lunar New Year holiday and to respond to disaster situations in case of emergencies.
Seoulsan Boram Hospital will provide 24-hour emergency medical services from the 25th to the 30th, and Dalbit Children's Hospital (Haetsal Children's Hospital) will operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the holiday period except on Lunar New Year’s Day, serving both children and adults.
Aijoen Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic and Ulsan Metropolitan City Senior Hospital will be open for medical treatment throughout the holiday period, including Lunar New Year’s Day.
The status of emergency medical services can be checked at the 119 Ambulance Situation Management Center, 129 Health and Welfare Counseling Center, 120 Ulsan City Call Center, Ulju-gun Public Health Center, or the Ulju-gun Office website. It is also possible to check in real time via the smartphone app (Emergency Medical Information Service). However, it is advised to call ahead before visiting medical institutions.
An official from the Ulju-gun Public Health Center said, “To ensure that Ulju residents have a comfortable Lunar New Year holiday, we will operate an emergency medical situation room within the public health center during the holiday period to maintain the emergency medical system, and designate medical institutions and pharmacies open in Ulju-gun to minimize gaps in medical care.”
