The Gyeonggi Province Audit Committee, a collegial administrative body, will conduct an inspection of the implementation status of contract reviews aimed at enhancing the efficient operation and transparency of local finances. This inspection will take place from February 7 to March 14 and will cover a total of 74 institutions, including Gyeonggi Province and its affiliated public institutions, the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, and 31 cities and counties.
This inspection will focus on whether the review procedures for contract review projects in Gyeonggi Province last year were properly followed and whether the projects were ordered in compliance with the review results.
To minimize inconvenience to the institutions subject to inspection, the Audit Committee will conduct the inspection in writing and will also carry out on-site inspections if necessary.
For institutions found to have failed to follow the contract review procedures or to comply with the review results, the committee plans to establish measures to prevent recurrence through on-site guidance and training for the responsible personnel.
The inspection results will be reflected in various evaluations by the Audit Committee, and exemplary cases and issues will be actively used as educational materials in future workshops hosted by the committee.
Ansangseop, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Province Audit Committee, stated, "This implementation status inspection is an important process to further strengthen the contract review system operation within public institutions in Gyeonggi Province and to promote the enforcement of the contract review system. We will continuously manage and inspect to ensure that each institution strictly complies with regulations so that local financial operations trusted by the residents can be realized."
