First, the city plans to systematically manage 2,865 routes totaling 1,331 km of roads by selecting priority management areas after conducting resident demand and field surveys. The planned projects include △road surface repaving △maintenance of safety facilities △repair of aging sidewalks and defective manholes △road sign maintenance. Additionally, to guarantee mobility rights for vulnerable traffic groups and establish a safe walking environment, the city will implement △installation of tactile paving blocks (770 locations) for the visually impaired △walking safety inspections at 128 schools △maintenance of school routes and undergrounding of power and communication lines.

With the recent steady increase in bicycle users, Namyangju City is carrying out repair work on aging sections of the National Bicycle Route and Wangsukcheon Bicycle Path, and is also promoting the construction of the Wolmun pedestrian walkway and bicycle road to provide users with a safe and convenient environment. In particular, the city has completed bicycle insurance enrollment for Namyangju citizens and plans to focus on creating a pleasant and safe cycling environment through regular safety inspections of bicycle road structures, mowing, and snow removal operations.

Namyangju City will conduct safety inspections of 306 road structures, including bridges, tunnels, underpasses, and overpasses, divided into the first and second halves of the year. Each structure will be classified from grade A to E, and structures rated C or below will undergo immediate repair and reinforcement work to maintain the safety of road structures and promptly prevent unnecessary accidents. Furthermore, the city announced plans to improve nighttime walking environments by installing new streetlights and security lights in vulnerable areas and replacing 2,270 aging lighting facilities.

In addition, Namyangju City has designated regional managers to operate a continuous management system for creating a clean and safe road environment. During the winter snow removal period, the Pyeongnae Snow Removal Countermeasures Headquarters will lead rapid snow removal operations by deploying 224 snow removal vehicles and 12,880 tons of snow removal agents across 10 snow removal advance bases in each eup, myeon, and dong.

Mayor Joo Gwang-deok stated, "Road maintenance projects are a core task that protects the lives and safety of citizens and are closely connected to their daily lives. We will continue to provide a safe and convenient road environment where citizens can travel with peace of mind through regular inspections and proactive improvements."

Meanwhile, the city achieved a remarkable feat by ranking first among 31 cities and counties in the 2024 Gyeonggi Province Road Maintenance Evaluation, being selected as an excellent institution for four consecutive years.
