"Decision to Raise Prices Due to Exchange Rate and Cost Increases"
Only Grande and Venti Sizes Were Increased Last August
Starbucks Korea is raising beverage prices once again, just two months after increases in August and November last year.
Starbucks Korea announced on the 20th that starting from the 24th, the prices of 22 beverage types in Short (237ml) and Tall (355ml) sizes will increase by 200 to 300 KRW.
Last August, Starbucks raised prices for Grande (473ml) and Venti (591ml) size coffees, excluding the Tall size. At that time, Short size coffee prices were reduced by 300 KRW. In November, prices for 11 types of non-coffee iced beverages in Tall size were increased by 200 KRW each.
Starbucks Korea explained, "In September last year, to minimize customer burden, we only raised prices for Grande and Venti size beverages, but due to ongoing exchange rate and cost increases, we have decided to make this adjustment."
The price increase applies to 22 types including Cafe Americano, Cafe Latte, Starbucks Dolce Latte, Caramel Macchiato, White Chocolate Mocha, Flat White, Cafe Mocha, Cappuccino, Grapefruit Honey Black Tea, Signature Chocolate, Espresso Con Panna, Espresso Macchiato, Espresso, Blonde Vanilla Double Shot Macchiato, Vanilla Cream Cold Brew, Oat Cold Brew, Cold Brew, Starbucks Classic Milk Tea, Yuzu Mint Tea, Peach Iced Tea, and Starbucks Double Shot.
With this increase, the most sold Cafe Americano Tall size price will rise from 4,500 KRW to 4,700 KRW. The Cafe Latte Tall size will increase from 5,000 KRW to 5,200 KRW. For Today's Coffee, the Tall size price will go up by 300 KRW from 4,200 KRW to 4,500 KRW.
Meanwhile, prices for 10 items including Dolce Cold Brew, Jeju Matcha Latte, tea made from Jeju organic green tea, Hibiscus Blend, English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Chamomile Blend, Youthberry, Mint Blend, and milk will remain unchanged. One iced coffee item in Grande and Venti sizes will see a 200 KRW price reduction.
