The Korea Local Government Officials Mutual Aid Association (POBA) announced on the 20th that it has developed and introduced a new CI (Corporate Identity) to commemorate its 50th anniversary.
The new Administrative Mutual Aid Association CI logo is inspired by simple lines and carries various meanings. The symmetrical lines extending left and right represent the 'companionship' between members and the Administrative Mutual Aid Association facing each other. The two diagonal lines angled to appear as if spreading symbolize 'wings' and 'flight' for a better life for members. The linear image, continuing with consistent thickness as if piercing through, signifies 'connection' to a better life. Additionally, the bold and stable typeface emphasizes trust and professionalism, while the deep navy color highlights transparency and reliability.
To make this 50th anniversary year a new starting point for growth, the Administrative Mutual Aid Association emphasized its expertise as a financial welfare institution with a new vision. Accordingly, the CI was developed into a simple wordmark logo clearly recognizing 'POBA', moving away from the previously complex logo directly depicting local government officials, through internal staff voting and member representative decision-making processes.
Meanwhile, the Administrative Mutual Aid Association will hold its 50th anniversary commemorative event on the 23rd at the War Memorial of Korea in Yongsan, Seoul. The emblem design to be unveiled at this event incorporates the basic CI along with the aspirations for the past 50 years and the leap forward into the next 100 years.
Kim Jang-hoe, Chairman of the Administrative Mutual Aid Association, stated, “This year is a meaningful year marking the 50th anniversary of the Administrative Mutual Aid Association,” and added, “We will strive for new leaps and development. We ask for your continued support.” Chairman Kim, originally from Cheongju, Chungbuk, was elected as the 14th Chairman of the Administrative Mutual Aid Association in August 2022 after serving as Jincheon County Governor, Director of Planning and Management Office of Chungbuk Province, Deputy Governor, and Director of Local Finance and Economy Office at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
