Applications Open from February 3 to 5
Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jin-seon) announced on the 20th that it will recruit participating workplaces for the 'Youth Internship Support Project' from February 3 to 5.
This project matches local workplaces in need of manpower with unemployed youth residing in the area and supports the workplaces with a monthly wage subsidy of up to 1 million KRW for up to 9 months.
Eligibility for application requires workplaces located in Yangpyeong-gun with 5 or more regular employees. Workplaces not enrolled in the four major social insurances, those with habitual wage arrears, or those involved in labor disputes are excluded. Additionally, it is a condition of support that youth interns receive a monthly wage of at least 2,294,820 KRW (based on Yangpyeong-gun's 2025 living wage hourly rate of 10,980 KRW, working 40 hours per week).
Youth intern recruitment will be conducted in February after verifying the qualifications of participating workplaces, and unemployed youth aged 18 to 39 residing in Yangpyeong-gun are eligible to apply. A separate announcement regarding intern recruitment will be made later.
Jeon Jin-seon, Governor of Yangpyeong-gun, said, “We hope that the promotion of this Youth Internship Support Project will help activate the economic independence of youth and alleviate the labor shortage of local workplaces.”
