Gyeonggi Province announced on the 20th that it will publicly recruit a business operator to carry out an animal welfare education project for elementary school students to foster the correct values of respect for life.

This project by Gyeonggi Province is designed to raise awareness among elementary school students, who are in the stage of self-formation, about the importance of an environment where humans and animals coexist harmoniously, and to enhance respect for life and animal welfare consciousness.
The eligibility for participation in this project, which is being launched for the first time this year, is limited to business operators, non-profit corporations, and non-profit private organizations located in Gyeonggi Province with experience in conducting animal welfare education projects. One operator will be selected from the applicants.
The project budget is 64 million KRW, and the main contents of the animal welfare education project include △ planning animal welfare and respect for life education programs for elementary schools and producing teaching materials △ recruiting students and managing education schedules for elementary schools in the province △ conducting on-site education visits to elementary schools.
Applications for the public recruitment must be submitted by February 3rd via registered mail or in person (to Animal Welfare Division, 2nd floor annex, Northern Gyeonggi Provincial Government Building, 1 Cheongsa-ro, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi Province). The evaluation will be based on the submitted documents, followed by a review of project execution capability, a selection committee meeting, and a presentation session to select the operator.
