Kim Min-jeon "Foolish Yoon, Stakes Presidency to Break Election Fraud Cartel"

Comparing Election Fraud to a "Murder Case Without a Murderer"
Calls for Replacing Electronic Counting with Manual Counting System

Amid the detention of President Yoon Seok-yeol, who is accused of leading an insurrection, Kim Min-jeon, a member of the People Power Party, mentioned the legitimacy of President Yoon's declaration of martial law. On the 19th, Kim shared on his Facebook the part of President Yoon's "Letter to the People," written before the execution of the second arrest warrant on the 15th, which raised suspicions of election fraud, stating, "The moment I read this letter, the thought 'Truly foolish Yoon Seok-yeol' came to mind first."

Kim Min-jeon "Foolish Yoon, Stakes Presidency to Break Election Fraud Cartel" A warrant for the arrest of President Yoon Seok-yeol, who is accused of leading an insurrection, has been issued. Meanwhile, Kim Min-jeon, a member of the People Power Party, reiterated his support by mentioning the legitimacy of President Yoon's declaration of martial law. Yonhap News Agency

He said, "Although there is insufficient evidence to punish a specific person for election fraud, election fraud cannot be dismissed as a conspiracy theory." In particular, Kim described President Yoon as a courageous leader standing against injustice, claiming, "Since President Yoon will not run again, he risked even his presidency to break this enormous cartel of silence." He also compared election fraud to a "murder case without a murderer," adding, "I think I know who the culprit is."

Kim then introduced several suspicious situations of election fraud during the 2020 21st general election, pointing out, "There were election invalidation lawsuits in over 120 places, but election invalidation and investigations did not take place, and recounts were dismissed." He further suggested, "Such absurd rulings likely stem from judges concurrently serving as chairpersons of various election commissions, including the Central Election Commission, leading to the belief that election fraud is essentially the judiciary's responsibility," and demanded, "This kind of hybrid organization, with the head as the judiciary and the body as the executive branch, must be promptly reformed."

Additionally, Kim reiterated President Yoon's claim that significant problems were revealed following the National Intelligence Service's inspection of the Central Election Commission's servers, arguing, "Our voting and counting system is overly reliant on online processes with almost no on-site verification system, which can cause problems." He advocated for replacing the electronic counting system with a manual counting system. Finally, he expressed frustration at demands directed at President Yoon to "present evidence of election fraud if there is much," saying, "It is heartbreaking," and questioned, "Strange ballots and the National Intelligence Service pointing out system stability issues?how much more new evidence are they asking for?"

Previously, Kim caused controversy by arranging a National Assembly press conference for the anti-communist youth group that calls itself the 'Baekgoldan.' Although he apologized via social media afterward, he also defended the group, which is known as a symbol of dictatorial violence. In response, members of the Democratic Party on the National Assembly Education Committee called for Kim to resign from his position on the Education Committee due to the controversy caused by organizing the press conference for the group calling itself 'Baekgoldan.'
