On the 19th, Buk-gu District Office in Gwangju announced that it will hold a win-win marketplace ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

This event, which will take place at 2 p.m. on the 21st at the Buk-gu District Office plaza, has been organized to help small business owners secure sales channels and to invigorate the local economy.

The marketplace will feature participation from three traditional markets (Malbau Market, Duam Market, Unam Market), two alley-type shopping districts, two social enterprises, and two hometown love gift suppliers.

Eighteen types of products will be sold, including agricultural and livestock products such as baechu kimchi, apples, tangerines, and pork belly, as well as doraji jeonggwa and dried seafood sets. Baechu kimchi and livestock products can be purchased through advance reservation.

The district plans to set product prices lower than market rates to ease the burden of rising prices. In addition, card payments, cash, and Onnuri gift certificates will all be accepted.

On the day of the marketplace, products worth approximately 17 million won, which were pre-ordered by Buk-gu District Office staff from the 13th to the 17th, will also be distributed on site.
