Shilla University (President Heo Nam-sik) announced on the 18th that Lee Chang-su, a member of the International Exchange Team, received the Minister of Justice Commendation for contributions to immigrant social integration.
On the 13th, Lee Chang-su from Shilla University's International Exchange Team received the Minister of Justice Commendation at the Busan Regional Customs Office.
Lee Chang-su, who was commended at the Busan Regional Customs Office on the 13th, was recognized for his efforts in actively promoting various immigrant social integration programs organized by the Ministry of Justice's early adaptation program for foreign students and the Busan Immigration Office and Foreigners' Affairs Agency, encouraging many foreign students to participate.
Lee said, "As the person in charge, I worked hard with the hope that foreign students could adapt quickly without discomfort and participate in various social activities in Korea. I am grateful and happy to receive such a great award as a result." He added, "As the number of foreign students has recently increased and their management has become more important, I will continue to strive to help foreign students participate in many programs and settle in Korea."
Shilla University currently has over 1,200 foreign students from 32 countries enrolled, and in the 2025 academic year, a Global College of Engineering will be established to provide more systematic management of foreign students and encourage their social participation.
