Opening Ceremony Held for the New Year Practical Education for Farmers Core Leader Class
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) held the opening ceremony of the ‘2025 New Year Practical Education for Farmers Core Leader Class’ at the Agricultural Technology Center on the 17th.

The New Year Practical Education for Farmers is a program held every early year to help farmers establish their farming plans for the year and acquire the latest crop-specific research and agricultural technologies to enhance farm competitiveness.
About 100 people attended the event, including Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju, executives of local agricultural organizations, and general farmers.
Kim Seok, director of the Agricultural Management Research Institute, who was invited as a lecturer, gave a special lecture on the theme of ‘Successful Strategies for Agricultural Management Entities and Community Leadership.’
Additionally, the Agricultural Technology Center shared this year’s agricultural guidance and agricultural policy projects with the farmers.
Mayor Joo Gwang-deok said, “I hope this will be a valuable opportunity to learn new knowledge and technologies and prepare for a successful year,” adding, “We will listen carefully to the difficulties faced by farmers and spare no balanced support to further develop agriculture in Namyangju City.”
The New Year Practical Education for Farmers is conducted in a total of 23 courses targeting agricultural organizations by item and Namyangju citizens interested in agriculture, including △Core Leaders for Farmers △Pear Cultivation Techniques △Four-Season Beekeeping Management △High-Quality Meokgol Pear Cultivation, among others.
