Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 17th that it will carry out the ‘Oral Health Project’ at the local ‘Oral Health Center’ to promote oral health for all citizens through the provision of accurate information.
This ‘Oral Health Project’ consists of three programs: △ Fluoride Solution Tooth Brushing △ New Toothbrush Replacement Day △ Denture Care.
The ‘Fluoride Solution Tooth Brushing’ program targets citizens who have natural teeth and are in age groups with a high prevalence of cavities or experience tooth sensitivity. Management will be conducted every three months using an oral health notebook.
The ‘New Toothbrush Replacement Day’ program provides accurate information on overall oral hygiene management when citizens bring their old toothbrushes used at home and visit the Oral Health Center.
The ‘Denture Care’ program offers comprehensive education on denture hygiene, deformation, and care methods, including ultrasonic cleaning of removable dentures, for citizens who use dentures.
Those wishing to participate can visit the Yangju City Oral Health Center located in Deokgye-dong within the city every Thursday from 1 PM to 5 PM. For more details, please contact the Eastern Health Team of the Health Promotion Division at the Yangju City Public Health Center.
A representative from Yangju City stated, “We hope everyone forms proper oral hygiene habits to maintain their natural teeth healthily for a long time,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to promote the oral health of Yangju citizens.”
