Donation of Funds for Neighbors in Need and Child Welfare Fund
Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 16th that the Cheongdo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (President Kwon Seung-hyuk) and its members practiced 'noblesse oblige' by donating neighbor-helping funds and child welfare funds to Cheongdo-gun on the 9th.

Established in 2008, the Cheongdo Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an association of businesspeople aimed at fostering friendship among merchants and promoting regional economic development and revitalization. The organization contributes to the public good through continuous social contribution projects such as donating scholarships for nurturing local talent, contributing to senior welfare funds, helping underprivileged neighbors, and creating love study rooms.
On this day, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry donated 3 million KRW to the child welfare fund. President Kwon Seung-hyuk, who is also the CEO of Saengsaengcho Co., Ltd., donated 10 million KRW each to the child welfare fund and neighbor-helping fund. Additionally, Vice President and CEO Ye Jeong-su of Nature Farm Co., Ltd. donated 10 million KRW to the neighbor-helping fund, practicing warm sharing together.
President Kwon Seung-hyuk and the members who attended the donation ceremony said, "We hope that warm affection will be well delivered to the marginalized local neighbors who are struggling in the cold winter." They added, "We will continue to practice ongoing sharing activities for the local community."
Kim Ha-su, the mayor of Cheongdo-gun, said, "I deeply thank President Kwon Seung-hyuk of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the members who personally practiced corporate social responsibility (CSR) for marginalized neighbors in the region despite the difficult times of economic recession." He added, "The precious donations will be properly delivered to those in need."
