The agreement aims for each institution to cooperate in distributing and activating the use of the app, enabling the swift identification and support of vulnerable groups and households in crisis within the community, thereby strengthening the local welfare safety net.

The 'Welfare Safety 119' app offers five main features: ▲Emergency Rescue 119 ▲Help Request ▲Safety Report ▲Safety Map ▲Safety Guidelines. It is a smart welfare and safety platform that allows citizens to request help or report incidents anytime and anywhere, regardless of time or place.

The 'Emergency Rescue 119' function enables users to receive prompt assistance by automatically connecting to '119' in urgent situations and simultaneously sending a help request text message to an emergency contact network (such as guardians or acquaintances).

The 'Help Request' feature allows households in crisis, who may have difficulty visiting administrative welfare centers, to easily request assistance, making it an effective tool for identifying and supporting those in need.

In addition, the 'Safety Report' function allows users to report dangerous locations, abuse, and suicide risks in the region. The 'Safety Map' provides information on nearby public institutions, hospitals, and heat shelters, while the 'Safety Guidelines' feature offers video playback to help citizens respond to hazards and disasters, further enhancing public safety.

Mayor Choi Kyungsik stated, "Through this agreement, we expect to widely distribute the 'Welfare Safety 119' app and build a tighter community welfare safety net, thereby contributing to improving the quality of life for our citizens. We will continue to develop various welfare services and pursue policies that prioritize the safety and welfare of our citizens."
