Measures to Secure Concrete Strength, Safety of Temporary Structures
Verification of Compliance with Safety Management Plan
Lee Seunghwa, the governor of Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, visited the construction site of the new Disabled Persons' Hall to conduct an inspection.
According to Sancheong-gun on the 16th, this inspection was carried out to prevent winter safety accidents due to the ongoing cold wave and frequent snowfall.
During the inspection, measures to secure concrete strength, safety measures for temporary structures, and compliance with the safety management plan were checked.
In particular, emphasis was placed on maintaining the emergency contact network and prompt response according to the emergency response system in case of an emergency.
Additionally, inspections were conducted regarding adherence to the concrete curing period and prevention of structural collapse accidents during the removal of supporting props.
The ‘Disabled Persons' Hall New Construction Project’ promoted by Sancheong-gun was prepared to integrate the offices of disabled organizations and facilities scattered around, ensuring organic linkage and operational stability of welfare services, as well as maximizing satisfaction with disabled services by improving aging facilities.
Governor Lee Seunghwa said, “Since winter construction was suspended to manage quality and prevent safety accidents due to the drop in temperature, please put more effort into site management,” and added, “We will do our best to complete the construction immediately after lifting the suspension during the thaw period so that disabled persons can use the hall in a comfortable environment as soon as possible.”
