Ubivelox Group Acquires Tech Accessory Fashion Brand DesignSkin

Ubivelox Group (hereinafter Ubivelox, including Tinkware, Tinkware Mobile, and 17 other affiliated companies) announced on the 16th that it has acquired the tech accessory fashion brand Iroom Design Skin.

Iroom Design Skin holds a variety of globally recognized character intellectual properties (IPs) and is the leading company in selling Apple’s MagSafe products and fashion-style tech products based on these IPs. It has expanded the MagSafe product lineup to Samsung Electronics’ premium models, including the Galaxy S series, Flip, and Fold.

In particular, it boasts high competitiveness in products such as fashion lines utilizing embroidery and various materials, and tech lines emphasizing functions like straps and stands. Through various collaboration products, it is leading the market by establishing tech accessories as a fashion item.

Kang Jeong-gyu, Executive Director in charge of the Management Strategy Headquarters, stated, “Ubivelox Group already produces and supplies goods such as light sticks and photocards for entertainment companies. Based on the entertainment business, we expect sufficient synergy by presenting collaboration products with Iroom Design Skin and enabling diverse configurations of goods products.”

He also said, “Iroom Design Skin, which has been confined to the domestic offline market, can show significant growth by expanding sales channels to online and global markets, as Ubivelox Group has proven through product sales such as Roborock and black boxes.”

Currently, the company is strengthening its competitiveness based on a mass production system for high value-added smart cards using metal materials, and is recording favorable performance every year through the explosive growth of the robot vacuum cleaner business. Additionally, the black box business has recently turned profitable in the last quarter, confirming continuous growth.

Meanwhile, Ubivelox Group includes a total of 17 companies, led by the listed company Ubivelox, the black box specialist Tinkware, Tinkware Mobile, the exclusive distributor of Korea’s No.1 robot vacuum cleaner Roborock, and iNavi Systems, which is preparing for listing based on autonomous driving and mobility map IPs. With the acquisition of Iroom Design Skin, it has become a solid mid-sized group consisting of 18 companies.
