Yangju City Reaffirms Mutual Commitment with Gyeonggi Province to Attract Businesses

‘2025 Provincial and City/County Strategic Joint Meeting’ Held

Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 15th that it held the ‘2025 Provincial and City/County Strategic Joint Meeting’ at the city hall situation room on the 14th, discussing regional development and corporate attraction plans together with Gyeonggi Province.

The joint meeting was attended by officials from Yangju City’s Self-Sufficient City Development Division and External Cooperation Office, as well as Gyeonggi Province’s Investment Promotion Division and Urban Policy Division, conducting in-depth discussions to seek successful development and effective sales strategies for the ‘Gyeonggi Yangju Technovalley and Eunnam General Industrial Complex.’


In particular, core projects aimed at revitalizing the local economy within the ‘Gyeonggi Yangju Technovalley,’ such as △attracting anchor companies △establishing the Northern Gyeonggi Innovation Center △creating a defense industry cluster, were intensively addressed.


The city expressed its intention to actively carry out corporate attraction activities for sustainable economic growth and to further strengthen the foundation for local economic growth.


In response, the province pledged to actively cooperate with the investment attraction efforts promoted by cities and counties and to strengthen support for investment promotion, reaffirming the mutual cooperation will between the city and the province.


An official from Yangju City stated, “The Gyeonggi Yangju Technovalley and Eunnam General Industrial Complex are key foundations that will lead the future of Yangju City,” adding, “We will work with Gyeonggi Province to successfully promote the projects and sales, making Yangju an attractive city where companies choose to settle and stay.”


Meanwhile, the city plans to further specify its investment attraction strategies and expand communication channels with companies to accelerate local economic growth.


Additionally, it will actively engage in building infrastructure within the industrial complexes and supporting administrative procedures to solidify the foundation for economic development.
