The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit has completed its first interrogation of President Yoon Seok-yeol. The investigation concluded after approximately 10 hours and 40 minutes.

On the 15th, the unit announced, "The investigation of President Yoon, who was arrested under an arrest warrant today, ended around 9:40 PM."

President Yoon was immediately transported to the Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do, where he was held. After spending the night at the Seoul Detention Center, he is scheduled to be interrogated again at the Government Complex Gwacheon branch of the investigation unit on the morning of the 16th.

On that day, the unit arrested President Yoon at the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and transferred him to the Government Complex Gwacheon. From 11 AM, he was interrogated as a suspect charged with leading a rebellion. Including breaks, the investigation took about 10 hours and 40 minutes.

Deputy Chief Lee Jae-seung and Chief Prosecutors Lee Dae-hwan and Cha Jeong-hyun interrogated President Yoon in succession.

Attorney Yoon Gap-geun was present as President Yoon's legal counsel. It is reported that President Yoon did not respond to any questions.

After completing the interrogation, the unit must decide whether to request an arrest warrant by 10:33 AM on the 17th, within 48 hours of executing the arrest warrant.
