Gumi Urban Corporation Joins 'Population Issue Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign'

Improving Awareness to Overcome the Population Cliff and Regional Extinction

Gyeongbuk Gumi Urban Corporation announced on the 15th that it participated in the 'Population Issue Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign' to overcome low birth rates and regional extinction.

This campaign was jointly planned by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare to raise social awareness of population decline and aging issues and to stimulate interest in solving population problems. Based on the declaration, "Let children be happy, youth nurture hope, and the elderly find fulfillment in Korea," various public institutions are participating.


Gumi Urban Corporation joined the campaign upon the nomination of Dalseong-gun Facilities Management Corporation and nominated Gyeongju City Facilities Management Corporation and Gumi Disabled Comprehensive Welfare Center as the next participating organizations.


Lee Jae-woong, president of Gumi Urban Corporation, stated, "We hope this campaign will raise social awareness of population issues, and our corporation will continuously strive to solve population problems in cooperation with the local community."


Meanwhile, Gumi Urban Corporation is making company-wide efforts to overcome low birth rates and change awareness of population issues through programs such as ▲promoting low birth rate overcoming programs in collaboration with related organizations ▲holding idea contests to overcome low birth rates and regional extinction ▲conducting campaigns to overcome population problems ▲and organizing outings to the Dadungi Library program.
