This visit was arranged to analyze advanced technology trends and to concretize the operational direction of Imdang Unicorn Park, which will become a new growth engine for the region.

The purpose of this visit was to understand the flow of the overseas ICT industry following the recognition of local companies' world-class technological capabilities at CES 2025, to explore various ways for regional startups to grow, and to experience innovative models that would provide practical assistance in operating Imdang Unicorn Park.

Mayor Cho Hyun-il and his delegation visited Google's headquarters, where they were guided by Korean employees and received explanations about Google's cutting-edge technology development processes, creative work environment, and organizational culture. The delegation closely analyzed the success factors of this global company and sought ways to apply them to Gyeongsan City's startup ecosystem and technological advancement.

A Gyeongsan City official who accompanied the visit said, “We were greatly inspired by experiencing Google's innovative work environment and global technology collaboration cases,” adding, “Google's technology-centered strategy provided many insights for local companies as well.”

Next, they visited the K-startup ‘Ceeya’ (CEO Park Ki-sang), which is gaining global attention with its AI-based homepage creation service and marketing AI platform that effectively showcase individuals' careers and capabilities. After receiving advice from company representatives on the Silicon Valley business environment and global expansion strategies, the Gyeongsan City delegation said this was an important opportunity to evaluate the potential for local companies to enter the global market.

Park Ki-sang, CEO of the K-startup ‘Ceeya,’ said, “The key to startup success is rapid execution and building a global network,” adding, “Silicon Valley is characterized by a culture that does not fear failure and a strong network. I hope companies in Gyeongsan City refer to this innovative ecosystem to envision greater futures.”

Mayor Cho Hyun-il of Gyeongsan City stated, “At Silicon Valley, I felt the importance of innovative ideas and execution capabilities of global ICT companies,” and expressed his ambition, “We will actively benchmark overseas success cases to develop Imdang Unicorn Park into Korea’s Silicon Valley.”
