Seosan City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 15th that it will implement the '2025 Apartment Complex Support Project'.
According to the city, this project is carried out annually to reduce the financial burden on apartment residents and to create a pleasant residential environment.
The project targets apartment complexes with 20 or more units that were built with project approval under the Housing Act.
The project is divided into two categories. In the category of reducing management costs, support is provided for 11 items including water meter inspection fees, security light electricity bills, and training expenses for management office staff.
In addition, in the category of improving common facilities, support is provided for 22 items including road and parking lot maintenance, rooftop waterproofing and painting, security light maintenance, sewage maintenance, and water pipe maintenance.
The maximum amount of support per complex is 60 million KRW, and depending on the total project cost, applicants must cover 10 to 50 percent of the expenses themselves.
Apartment complexes wishing to apply must prepare the required documents and submit them in person or by mail to the Housing and Apartment Management Team during the application period from the 16th to the 31st.
The city plans to select the recipient complexes in February through a review by a selection committee composed of field investigators and experts.
Seosan Mayor Lee Wanseop said, "I hope this project will be helpful to apartment residents," adding, "We will continue to pay attention and make efforts to expand support for the maintenance and management of apartment facilities in the future."
