Yangsan Mulgeum Youth Culture House Hosts 'Digital Saessak Camp'

Winter Vacation Program for Middle School Students and Youth of the Same Age

Gyeongnam Yangsan Mulgeum Youth Culture House will hold a Digital Sprout Camp for middle school students and youth of the same age during the winter vacation of 2025.

This program is part of digital competency education organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, aiming to enhance digital art skills through the creation of artworks using AI technology.

The Digital Sprout Camp will be held in two sessions at the Mulgeum Youth Culture House webtoon room: the first session from February 6 to 7, and the second session from February 13 to 14. Each session will accommodate 15 youths, and participation is completely free of charge.

Participating youths will experience activities such as generating images and creating media art using AI tools for a total of 6 hours, 3 hours per day. Applications for the program are accepted through the Mulgeum Youth Culture House website and will be closed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The main program contents include △ Understanding and ethics of generative artificial intelligence △ Understanding and practice of prompt engineering △ Generative AI media art creation activities △ Practice of book creator functions △ Digital book production and exhibition.

Hong Young-sik, director of Mulgeum Youth Culture House, said, “We operate this program to provide youths with opportunities to develop creative and innovative thinking by combining digital technology and art,” adding, “We hope that through the Digital Sprout Camp program, youths will broaden their interest and understanding in the field of digital art and grow.”

Opened in December last year, Mulgeum Youth Culture House is a youth training facility located on Baekho-ro, Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan City, providing autonomous youth spaces and programs based on various facilities for the growth and development of youths.
