Return Gifts from Donation to Support Local Welfare Council
On the 15th, Byunghyun Chun, the younger brother of the late Byungil Chun, a victim of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident, visited Yeongam County Office with his eldest brother Byunggap Chun and donated 5 million won to the Hometown Love Donation Fund in the name of the deceased.
According to the county, the two brothers delivered the donation after the funeral, hoping that the people of their hometown would remember the deceased, who loved his hometown dearly.

The three Chun brothers, who grew up under parents who ran a mill in Yeongam-eup and completed high school there, have each lived in places like Gwangju and Muan. Although they lived away from home, they frequently visited Yeongam, where their parents and friends reside, to help their parents and maintain friendships.
Among the three brothers, the deceased especially stood out for his love of his hometown, visiting Yeongam more often than his siblings and maintaining particularly close relationships with relatives.
Byunghyun Chun said, "I discussed with my eldest brother how we could help people remember our younger brother. We agreed that it would be best for the two of us to prepare separate funds and donate them to our hometown," adding, "We believe our younger brother in heaven would be pleased with our decision."
The two brothers also decided to donate the return gifts from the Hometown Love Donation to the Yeongam-eup Community Social Security Council, a public-private welfare cooperation organization in their hometown.
