Encouraging Merchants by Purchasing Agricultural, Marine Products, and Food Ingredients
Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) announced on the 15th that Park Sungho, Chairman of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, visited Muan Traditional Market on the 14th to listen to merchants' concerns and encouraged small business owners and stakeholders at an on-site financial consultation center using the Wa-yo bus.
The meeting was attended by Chairman Park Sungho, Governor Kim San, Han Seungju, President of the Jeonnam Branch of the National Merchants Association, Park Jinhui, Head of the Gwangju Honam Regional Headquarters of SEMAS, Kim Juncheol, Director of the Jeonnam Provincial Job Economy Division, Moon Jeongsu, President of the Muan Traditional Market Merchants Association, and about 20 others.

At the meeting, Governor Kim San said, "We will do our best so that Muan Traditional Market, which has been selected as a Culture and Tourism Specialized Market in 2025, can become a leading market in Jeonnam."
The merchants' association proposed various suggestions, including support for rent reduction, the construction of a direct road to a nearby distribution mart, measures for coexistence between large supermarkets and traditional markets, and separate evaluations for urban and rural types in external assessments of traditional markets.
Meanwhile, after the meeting, Chairman Park Sungho toured the stores in the market, encouraged merchants by purchasing agricultural and marine products and food ingredients with Onnuri gift certificates, and later visited the joint memorial altar at Muan Sports Park to pay respects to the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident.
