Suspected Drug Exposure?…Bucheon City Offers Free Testing for 6 Types of Narcotics

On the 15th, Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that the public health center will provide an 'Anonymous Test for 6 Types of Narcotics' for citizens suspected of exposure to narcotics due to others.

This test is a screening method that quickly checks for narcotics exposure using urine. Depending on the type and dosage of the drug, the time elapsed before the test, and individual differences, it may not be detected, and if the test result is positive, a final confirmation through a detailed examination is required.

Citizens who wish to take the test can visit the nearest public health center and apply anonymously. After filling out the application form, the test is conducted through a urine sample. The test items include six types: Philopon, Daemacho, Morphine, Cocaine, Amphetamine, and Ecstasy.

However, the test is excluded for crime victims seeking legal action, those who used narcotics for disease treatment, those with a history of intentional narcotics use, and foreigners applying for registration or health checkup certificates for immigration or beauty purposes (narcotics test results).

A Bucheon City official stated, "We hope that citizens suspected of narcotics exposure infiltrating daily life will relieve their anxiety through anonymous testing at the public health center."
