The ace of Gwangju FC, Reis (32), has returned.
On the 15th, Gwangju FC announced the signing of Brazilian winger Reis, who was a key player in Gwangju's 2022 K League 2 championship and previously played for Jeju.
Reis joined Gwangju in 2021 and established himself as the team's ace in his debut season, recording 4 goals and 5 assists in 30 matches.
In 2022, he posted 12 goals and 4 assists in 39 matches, achieving the highest number of attacking points in the team and playing a significant role in Gwangju's K League 2 title and direct promotion with the highest points in league history.
During the championship season, Reis dominated the league, ranking first in key passes (51), first in attacking third passes (440), and second in successful dribbles (28) in K League 2. He also ranked fourth in successful duels (72), demonstrating his dedication to defense and serving as a core player in Lee Junghyo's football system.
Afterwards, Reis transferred to Jeju SK in 2023, where he played 64 matches over two years, recording 12 goals and 7 assists. With this transfer, he will wear the Gwangju uniform again after three years.
Standing at 175cm and weighing 75kg, Reis is not particularly large, but he has excellent balance. He is outstanding at breaking through pressure and dribbling, showing exceptional ability to progress in the attacking third.
He is also recognized for creating various attacking options with his sharp kicks and for his tactical versatility due to his diligent pressing.
