The private-public joint monitoring team will conduct surveillance on illegal activities at facilities that emit large amounts of fine dust during normal times, monitor suspected odor-causing facilities, crack down on illegal incineration, check compliance with dust suppression measures at construction sites, and promote fine dust reduction activities. In the event of a high-concentration fine dust emergency reduction measure being issued, the team will conduct special inspections on whether major fine dust-emitting facilities and construction sites have shortened their operating hours.
Additionally, using equipment such as drones and fine dust measuring devices, special inspections will be carried out on areas with large fine dust emissions such as construction sites and vacant lots to minimize fine dust generation. The team will focus its activities during the winter and spring when high concentrations of fine dust and yellow dust occur, while also conducting crackdowns on various environmental pollution activities during other periods.
Mayor Baek Gyeong-hyeon of Guri stated, “Through the operation of this private-public joint inspection team, we will strive to make Guri a pleasant city free from fine dust.”
Meanwhile, Guri City has been steadily implementing policies to protect the health and safety of its citizens from fine dust through projects such as free rental services for simple fine dust measuring devices and radon detectors.
