Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Han Sangwon) announced on the 15th that Bestin Gwangju Branch (CEO Lee Miran) recently held a performance sharing session regarding the results of the Future Tomorrow Work Experience Program in the intern category.
The intern-type work experience program is a project by the Ministry of Employment and Labor that aims to strengthen job competency by allowing unemployed youth to work at companies, performing actual tasks or duties.
Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been selected as the support center for the Future Tomorrow Work Experience in the Honam region, playing a role in supporting operating organizations. Bestin Gwangju Branch participates as the operating organization for the intern-type program in Gwangju, connecting companies and youth.
Bestin Gwangju Branch achieved outstanding results last year, with 209 participants, far exceeding the target of 100 interns. Of these, 38 secured employment, and based on these achievements, the branch received an excellent evaluation (Grade A) in the 2024 performance assessment for operating organizations of the Future Tomorrow Work Experience Program.
The performance sharing session included a report on the operating results of the work experience program by Bestin Gwangju Branch, sharing of best practices, and an introduction to the 2025 work experience program plan. A total of 12 organizations attended, including Gwangju Metropolitan City Council of Social Welfare, Gwangju Women's Resources Development Center, Gwangsangu Disabled Persons Sheltered Workshop, Namgu Senior Welfare Center, Seogu Senior Welfare Center, Gwangju YWCA, Evergreen Silver House, Inhae W Sarang's Home, Ilgok Hansol Professional Nursing Home, Korea Competency Development Institute, Korea Gas Safety Corporation Gwangju Headquarters, and Happy Dream Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
A company representative who attended the performance sharing session stated, "The level of the youth participating in the work experience program was higher than expected, resulting in high satisfaction among companies. Many participants have been connected to actual employment, which has greatly helped our operations."
