Cheongdam Language Institute (CREVERSE CEO Lee Dong-hoon), which has been leading the domestic English education market, has been seeking a new leap by expanding its business into the EFL (English as a Foreign Language) sector since last year by introducing ‘THE OPEN,’ a specialized program for school grades and the CSAT English exam.
‘THE OPEN’ program is an integrated curriculum optimized for school grades and entrance exam English based on Cheongdam Language Institute’s over 25 years of accumulated ESL (English as a Second Language) education expertise. It emphasizes English thinking and expression skills through 100% native speaker classes, combining native instructor ESL classes once a week with Korean instructor EFL classes once a week.
In particular, the strength lies in providing a comprehensive learning solution aimed at achieving the top-tier high school English grade 1 by offering school grade and CSAT preparation lectures conducted by Korean instructors based on Cheongdam’s proprietary grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension textbooks.
By combining the existing ESL regular courses with the EFL program, it maximizes the ‘1+1’ learning synergy, evolving into a learning system that enhances the level of English thinking and expression skills while delivering tangible results in school grades and entrance exams. In fact, students enrolled in ‘THE OPEN’ classes have recorded a steep growth of 320% over the past 10 months, receiving great responses from parents and students.
The EFL specialized academy ‘THE OPEN Cheongdam Language Institute’ is also set to be newly launched. Unlike the existing Cheongdam Language Institute, this brand offers professional school grade and CSAT English classes twice a week, all in EFL format, taught by an elite Korean instructor team proven to achieve excellent results in regional school grades and entrance exam English. The lectures are based on thoroughly analyzed school exam trends, aiming for the top high school English grade 1.
Additionally, to maximize synergy with classroom instruction, a newly introduced online learning platform supports solving past exam questions and explanatory videos for school grade preparation, designed to effectively help students learn the key points necessary for exam readiness. ‘THE OPEN Cheongdam Language Institute’ plans to expand branches nationwide, starting with Gangdong Olympic Hall and Suwon Yeongtong branch at the end of January.
