Udeumji Farm, a comprehensive smart farm solution company, is teaming up with PRIVA, a global leader in smart agriculture, to actively target overseas markets.
According to Udeumji Farm, Meiny Prins, Chairman of PRIVA, visited Udeumji Farm the day before yesterday to discuss advanced agricultural technologies and sustainable agricultural models, the company announced on the 15th. The meeting was also attended by Manuel Madani, PRIVA Asia representative, and Na Youngwook, CEO of MiFKO, PRIVA's official agency in Korea.
In 2023, Udeumji Farm and PRIVA, which signed an agreement to innovate smart farm technology and expand distribution business, discussed concrete action plans for the development and dissemination of smart farms in the global market.
Udeumji Farm and PRIVA also planned to jointly engage in agricultural product distribution and smart farm technology exports, focusing on the Middle East regions such as Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and the global market.
Middle Eastern countries with dry climates and harsh agricultural environments have shown interest in Udeumji Farm's smart farm technology, and the company plans to take this opportunity to fully expand its presence in the Middle Eastern market. Udeumji Farm has already signed business agreements with local companies in Saudi Arabia and the UAE and is actively starting exports.
PRIVA, established in 1959 in the Netherlands, is a smart farm integrated environment control company that provides indoor environment control solutions not only for horticultural greenhouses but also for vertical farms and buildings.
The Netherlands, with a smart farm adoption rate of 99% and the world's second-largest agricultural product exporter, is regarded as an advanced example of a high-tech horticulture industry based on the convergence of information and communication technology (ICT) in agriculture. PRIVA is recognized as being at the center of this development, boasting world-class technology.
Meiny Prins, Chairman of PRIVA, toured Udeumji Farm's advanced cultivation facilities and automation systems and expressed deep interest. He particularly noted that Udeumji Farm, as a leading agricultural corporation in Korea, maximizes productivity and quality through smart farm operations utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
Chairman Meiny Prins praised, "Udeumji Farm is a leader in the Korean smart farm industry, demonstrating new possibilities for sustainable agriculture through advanced technology," and added, "If we cooperate based on PRIVA's technology and experience, we can create greater synergy."
