Surpassing 'Stranger Things' and 'Bridgerton'
4th in Viewing Hours... Season 1 Makes a Comeback
'Squid Game' Season 2 ranked 3rd among Netflix's all-time most popular series just eighteen days after its release.
According to Netflix's official site 'Netflix Top 10' on the 15th, in the third week since its release (the third week of this month, from the 6th to the 12th), it was watched for the highest total of 188.3 million hours. In the first week (the fourth week of last month, from the 22nd to the 29th), it was 487.6 million hours, and in the second week (the first week of this month, from December 30 to January 5), it was 417.1 million hours.
The cumulative viewing time over eighteen days since release is 1.093 billion hours. It ranks 2nd in the all-time most popular non-English series category, following its predecessor Season 1. In the combined English and non-English category, it ranked 4th, following 'Squid Game' Season 1, 'Wednesday' Season 1, and 'Stranger Things' Season 4.
'Squid Game' Season 2 also recorded the highest number of views when dividing total viewing time by total runtime (7 hours and 10 minutes), with 26.3 million views. The cumulative number of views is 152.5 million. It ranks 3rd in the all-time list, following Season 1 and 'Wednesday.' It surpassed 'Stranger Things' Season 4, 'Dahmer ? Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,' and 'Bridgerton' Season 1.
Riding on the popularity of Season 2, 'Squid Game' Season 1 also ranked 3rd in the non-English TV category in the third week of this month (8.7 million views, 72.6 million hours). 'The Call' (2.9 million views, 39.9 million hours) ranked 7th, and 'Ask the Stars' (2.4 million views, 10.8 million hours) ranked 8th.
