LG Electronics recently announced on the 15th that it has formed a partnership with 'Xbox' and its proprietary smart TV platform 'webOS' to offer hundreds of games, significantly enhancing webOS gaming content.

As part of this collaboration, LG Electronics will add the 'Xbox Game Pass' service to webOS. Users will be able to enjoy Microsoft's Xbox cloud gaming service on LG smart TVs. Xbox Game Pass is expected to be available soon on the latest LG smart TVs in most countries that support Xbox cloud gaming services, including South Korea.
Subscribers to 'Xbox Game Pass Ultimate' will be able to enjoy a variety of popular games on the large screen of LG smart TVs, including the highly anticipated large-scale RPG 'Arboud' set to be released soon, as well as 'Hogwarts Legacy,' which has been praised for its detailed representation of the Harry Potter universe.
Currently, LG Electronics offers over 4,000 games worldwide through webOS, ranging from popular cloud-based games to casual games. The company is not only increasing the number of playable games but also striving to provide gamers with a comfortable gaming environment.
LG Electronics will also introduce a new dedicated gaming hub within webOS called the 'Gaming Portal' in the first quarter of this year, which allows easy access to game applications like Xbox. The Gaming Portal will help customers choose game content by presenting recently played games, the top 10 most popular games, and editor’s recommended games.
The game dashboard applied to LG smart TVs allows users to conveniently configure various gaming features. By selecting the current game genre?such as first-person shooters (FPS), real-time strategy (RTS), or role-playing games (RPG)?settings like frames per second, graphic technologies, game map modes, and low latency modes will adjust accordingly, and users can also customize individual settings.
All 2025 LG OLED TV models, including wireless OLED TVs, apply the latest graphic technologies such as NVIDIA’s 'G-SYNC compatible' and AMD’s 'FreeSync Premium,' enabling smooth, lag-free display even during fast-paced game transitions.
LG Electronics also plans to offer a world-first ultra-low latency Bluetooth-based game controller connection feature developed in collaboration with MediaTek, Razer, and Telink. Supporting ultra-low latency Bluetooth with a response time of up to 1ms, this feature aims to provide an optimal gaming environment for gamers who enjoy competitive games where reaction speed is critical.
