Fire Insurance Association Wins 'Special Award' at Seoul Video Advertising Festival

The Korea Fire Insurance Association announced on the 14th that it received the Special Jury Prize at the 22nd Seoul Video Advertising Festival in recognition of its creative message delivery method and new possibilities for public service advertisements.

The association has been actively conducting a safety culture campaign since 2023, aiming to improve public awareness of fire prevention in collaboration with 12 domestic non-life insurance companies and government agencies.


The video submitted by the association, titled "Do Not Avoid Anxiety," focused on raising awareness of dangerous situations and inducing actual behavioral changes by portraying the anxiety felt during a fire. It enhanced viewer immersion by using realistic storytelling along with sound design that builds tension. Through the emotion of anxiety, it effectively conveyed the risks of fire. This effort differentiated it from the conventional stiff and boring fire prevention videos, earning high praise from the jury panel.


Released on the association’s official YouTube channel in August last year, the video surpassed 1 million views and received enthusiastic attention. Through over 1,000 comments, viewers expressed empathy, saying, "The message of anxiety remains memorable."


An association official stated, "This award is the result of the safety culture campaign carried out in cooperation with 12 non-life insurance companies gaining great public resonance. We will continue to promote effective campaigns through various field activities to raise public safety awareness and contribute to creating a safer society."
