The social welfare corporation Saengmyeongui Jeonhwa and Maummoreum Co., Ltd. announced on the 14th that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) outlining designated donations and program support social contribution activities to support suicide bereaved families.
Through this MOU, Maummoreum provided designated donations for the bereaved counseling project and the operation of the suicide bereaved family gathering space "Saeum." Additionally, they pledged to participate in social contribution activities by supporting programs such as counselor burnout prevention and healing camps for bereaved families in the future.
Ha Sang-hoon, director of Saengmyeongui Jeonhwa, stated, "Bereaved families experience various psychological and social difficulties after losing loved ones to suicide, so multifaceted support activities are necessary to help them recover their daily lives. The recovery of bereaved families is not merely an individual issue but a problem that society must solve and assist together. Therefore, I hope more companies like Maummoreum will join us in this journey."
Park Ji-eun, CEO of Maummoreum, said, "While working in a field that helps people live happy lives through mental and physical health, I deeply empathized with the psychological pain and difficulties in daily recovery experienced by suicide bereaved families and recognized the urgent need for support for them. We hope that by providing not only financial assistance but also Maummoreum’s programs, bereaved families can find psychological stability and live healthy and happy lives."
