Palo Alto Networks announced a new vision to address security issues in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). As data increases, the importance of security management is also expected to grow, and the company plans to tackle this through platforms and AI.

On the 14th, Palo Alto Networks held its annual cybersecurity event, 'Ignite on Tour Seoul.' Founded in the United States in 2005, Palo Alto Networks is a cybersecurity specialist company. It is the number one company in the network firewall sector, with over 85,000 customers in more than 150 countries.

At the press conference, Simon Green, Head of JAPAC at Palo Alto Networks, said, "Most organizations use an average of 50 to 60 security-related tools, which means there is more to process and manage. As AI integrates all technologies, the amount of data required is increasing, and accordingly, cybersecurity management is also expanding."

He added, "Due to scale, complexity, and diversified blind spots, security teams are looking at a huge amount of data but are struggling to analyze which data is good and which is not. Therefore, we need to change our approach, and I believe we should approach this through platformization. Also, we need to respond to threats in real time." This means improving accessibility through platforms in the increasingly complex AI environment.

Additionally, Palo Alto Networks has a security solution that can respond within about 60 seconds using 'Precision AI.' Precision AI is a next-generation AI cybersecurity solution that integrates various AI technologies such as machine learning, generative AI, and deep learning. Precision AI is an upgraded version that enhances AI capabilities on Palo Alto Networks' existing security platforms: Strata (network), Prisma (cloud), and Cortex (security operations service).

This supports security experts in detecting cyber threats faster and more accurately, automating prevention and response. It enables real-time, faster, and more precise responses to various cyberattacks, while also contributing to enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of security. The company manages approximately 76 petabytes (PB, about 1000 TB) of hacking-related data monthly and provides customers with security posture readiness.

Green explained, "Palo Alto Networks has been collecting and handling security-related data for about 20 years. By interpreting data contextually and analyzing it precisely, we prevent hacking, which is why we believe cyberattacks are a solvable problem."

Park Sang-gyu, CEO of Palo Alto Networks Korea, said, "Palo Alto Networks is responsible for end-to-end cybersecurity. Since cybersecurity is related to the survival of companies, I do not think it is a concept where investments are reduced depending on the economy."
