Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk, will recruit elementary school students in the district who will use the Dahamkke Care Centers (Uljin Branch and Hupo Branch) from March 2025, from January 15 to 24.
The Uljin-gun Dahamkke Care Centers operate two locations, Uljin Branch and Hupo Branch, aiming to establish a community-centered voluntary elementary care plan to enhance after-school child care services within the region and eliminate blind spots in elementary care.
The monthly fee is 30,000 KRW, and the operating hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the school term, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during vacation periods. Services include after-school child care, provision of meals and snacks, connection and provision of various programs, and information related to care counseling.
The target users are lower-grade elementary students (grades 1 to 3), regardless of income level, with priority given to children from dual-income, single-parent, and multi-child families (two or more children). Detailed information regarding the recruitment of children for use can be found in the announcement posted on the Uljin-gun Office website.
County Governor Son Byeong-bok stated, “We will continue to do our best to minimize blind spots in child care and support the care burden of dual-income, single-parent, and multi-child families to make Uljin a great place to raise children.”
