Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) held a ceremony on the 14th in the mayor's office to appoint speed skating national representative athlete Kim Min-seon as a promotional ambassador.

Kim Min-seon was appointed as a promotional ambassador for Uijeongbu City last December 12th along with the b-boy crew Fusion MC. Due to overseas training and competition schedules, a separate appointment ceremony was held on this day.
Kim Min-seon has won gold medals in over 10 international competitions and will also participate in the Winter Asian Games held in February this year.
Starting with the filming of the promotional video for the "2025 World Women's Curling Championship," Kim Min-seon plans to engage in various activities to enhance the prestige of Uijeongbu City, including producing city promotional materials and participating in various city events.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "I am pleased to appoint individuals who are busy and loved both domestically and internationally as promotional ambassadors," adding, "As an athlete active on the global stage, I hope Kim Min-seon will widely promote Uijeongbu City not only within Korea but also overseas."
