Operating Hours Extended to 9 PM - Midnight

Gwangyang City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 14th that it has designated and is operating Jungma Large Pharmacy in Jungma-dong, which is currently operating as a 'Dalbit Children's Hospital', as a public late-night pharmacy.

A public late-night pharmacy is one that operates until late at night, 365 days a year including holidays. Jungma Large Pharmacy has been designated as a public late-night pharmacy again this year, following last year.

The city plans to expand the operating hours of the late-night pharmacy from the previous 10 PM to midnight to 9 PM to midnight, aiming to create a synergy effect with the 'Dalbit Children's Hospital (Danasoapediatrics Clinic in Jungma-dong)', which provides pediatric care for mild cases during weekday nights, weekends, and holidays.

Meanwhile, the cumulative number of pharmaceutical sales and consultations at Gwangyang City's public late-night pharmacy has reached 6,327 cases so far.

The majority of users were in their 20s to 40s, and medicines related to respiratory and digestive diseases, as well as antipyretics and anti-inflammatory analgesics, recorded high sales.

Heo Jeongryang, Director of the Gwangyang City Public Health Center, said, "With respiratory viruses spreading simultaneously and medical demand increasing, Dalbit Children's Hospital and the public late-night pharmacy are greatly contributing to filling gaps in medical care and reducing medical expenses. We plan to recruit additional public late-night pharmacies in the future and will do our best to ensure that citizens can enjoy a safe and convenient medical environment."
