Developing into a Hospital that Breathes Vitality and Life into the Local Community
Song Hyun, the newly appointed director of Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital, met with Mayor Kang Su-hyun at Yangju City Hall on the 13th to discuss the establishment of a medical safety net and cooperation plans for mutual growth.

According to Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital on the 14th, Director Song promised to work hard to establish a medical safety net in northern Gyeonggi Province, including Yangju. Mayor Kang responded that he would cooperate for the mutual growth of the local community.
Director Song stated, “Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital provides the best medical services to residents of northern Gyeonggi by establishing a flawless emergency patient response and a systematic medical system,” adding, “We will develop into a beloved hospital that breathes vitality and life into the local community.”
After taking office as one of the four major hospital directors on the 2nd, Director Song met sequentially with local leaders in Uijeongbu, including Mayor Kim Dong-geun, Chairman Kim Yeon-gyun of the Uijeongbu City Council, Chief Kim Ho-seung of the Northern Gyeonggi Police Agency, and Director Lee Jong-gu of the Uijeongbu branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, to discuss cooperation plans for mutual development.
Director Song Hyun, an authority in the field of coronary artery disease in Korea, graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine, earned his master's and doctoral degrees at the same university, and served as a professor of thoracic surgery and deputy director of medical affairs at Seoul Asan Medical Center and Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital.
He played a key role in hospital development and strengthening severe and emergency medical treatment capabilities by holding major positions such as deputy director of medical affairs at Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital and director of management planning at Eulji University Medical Center.
