Development of Sacheon Visit Year BI and Installation of Tourism Character Ttoa Sculpture
Sacheon City in Gyeongnam is accelerating preparations to welcome tourists by developing a BI (Basic Identity) and installing tourism character sculptures in celebration of the 2025 Sacheon Visit Year.
According to the city on the 14th, they recently developed a unique concept BI called ‘2025 Sacheon Visit Year, Come Again to Sacheon’ last October, investing 20 million KRW in the project to reflect the latest trends.
This BI features a symbol-type design that incorporates key tourism elements of Sacheon, dividing the letter ‘S’ into six parts to express the city's vibrant appeal as a tourist destination. It includes representations of space and aviation, the Sacheon Sea Cable Car, and the Samcheonpo Bridge.
Additionally, to enhance the atmosphere of the Sacheon Visit Year and maximize promotional effects, a sculpture using the tourism character Ttoa was installed in a park near the entrance of Sacheon IC, the gateway to Sacheon City.
In particular, the city plans to actively attract tourists by leveraging its rich tourism infrastructure such as the Sacheon Sea Cable Car, aquarium, and Ferris wheel, as well as various festivals and events including the Waryong Cultural Festival and the Jeoneo Festival.
Mayor Park Dongsik stated, “We will do our best to widely promote the charm of Sacheon in celebration of the 2025 Sacheon Visit Year,” and added, “We hope everyone will visit our Sacheon City to personally experience the beautiful natural scenery along with various attractions and local delicacies.”
