Joint Marketing Agreement Targeting Foreign Tourists Signed with Seomyeon Medical Street Medical Tourism Council
Healing Paper, the operator of the beauty medical information platform ‘Gangnam Unni,’ announced on the 14th that it has signed a business agreement with the nonprofit organization Seomyeon Medical Street (SmS) Medical Tourism Council to promote foreign medical tourism.
Through this agreement, Gangnam Unni and the SmS Medical Tourism Council plan to provide customized beauty medical information for foreign tourists visiting dermatology and plastic surgery clinics in Busan and initiate joint marketing efforts. The collaboration between the mobile platform and the regional council aims to accelerate the development of Korea’s medical tourism industry and revitalize the Busan local economy.

Since April last year, Gangnam Unni has been focusing on nationwide expansion centered on Busan. This is to provide high-quality nationwide hospital information to domestic and international consumers seeking Korean beauty medical services, beyond the demand concentrated in Seoul’s Gangnam and Seocho districts. As a result, in the second half of last year, the number of users requesting consultations at Busan hospitals through Gangnam Unni increased twice as fast as in the Gangnam area compared to the same period the previous year. Additionally, the number of hospitals registered with Gangnam Unni in Busan grew 1.5 times faster than in the Gangnam area.
Notably, since November 2019, Gangnam Unni has been operating a Korean hospital search and reservation service for foreign tourists. Currently, 7 million users from 104 countries, including Japan, Thailand, and the United States, compare and search for beauty medical information and experience mobile consultations and reservations through Gangnam Unni.
Lim Hyun-geun, Chief Business Officer of Healing Paper, said, “Gangnam Unni is enhancing its platform to promote Korea’s globally competitive beauty medical services and maximize the medical service experience for both medical professionals and consumers,” adding, “We will actively collaborate to make it easier for more foreign tourists to find beauty medical hospitals in Busan.”
